Originally by: Kamikazee Joe Ok now this kinda ****es me off. Now at this point i was still very skeptical. So i decided to undock *gasp* for the first time in a month... it worked. I made a few jumps... everything fine. So i did some missions... an hour in, still no problems... SO SERIOUSLY WTF IS HAPPENING!? I have not changed a single thing in any way what-so-ever! Have u done something in the last few days CCP? Has anyone else experienced this? (i sincerely hope so) There has to be some kind of explanation, but i don't have one. For the sake of everyone posting in this thread i hope someone somewhere can explain this...
Yes, it can be erratic like that. Ive gone days without a crash doing the exact same tasks with simular pingplotter results (ie- high packet loss) with zero crashes. Then, without any change from the clientside it will be completely unplayable. The more I think about this the more I think its not about packet loss and more about how packets are being sent by the client to an unreceptive isp.
Is there any reason why packets would be malformed or something in certain high load circumstances, like log ins, opening markets, heavy grid loads?
Meh I dont know. Ive vocally been banging on about this for months now and am totally exhausted with it. Ive had multiple petitions run back with different answers. Ive had petitions closed without notification from the GM team. Ive filed server logs and pingplotter results. Still we collectively get bugger all feedback.
Frankly- I dont recommend Eve to anyone at all now and actively tell people to stay away from it. Bad publicity is the only thing that gets ccp's attention nowadays.[/u]
